Seismic analysis of the traveling water screen

Description

The purpose of this study is to perform the structural and seismic qualification of Traveling Water Screen(TWS) as supplied for nuclear power plant. The natural frequencies, stresses, and deformations of the structures are investigated for three load cases, operating conditions, OBE, and SSE. The qualification of the equipment is through analysis, using finite element model of TWS that are subjected to a seismic environment. Three components of earthquake motion are combined by taking the Square Root of the Sum of the Squares(SRSS)
