US fissile material initiatives: Implications for the IAEA
Description
This article focuses on two initiatives in particular: US policy to deal with existing stockpiles of fissile materials including its intention to submit fissile material excess to US defense needs to IAEA safeguards, and the proposed global treaty banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosives
