Preparation and dosimetric characteristic in dosimeters of Lithium Fluoride doped with Europium

Description

To prepare thermoluminescent material in polycrystal form and powdered of Lithium Fluoride doped with 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0% moles Europium, they were irradiated with gamma photons of the Co-60, then obtain the respective glow curve, the next step was inter compared the dosimetric properties of sensibility, location of the V pick, loss of information and reproducibility for each prototype of Lithium Fluoride doped with Europium against the TLD-100. The work was elaborated in the Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory of the INEA. The thermoluminescent dosimeters is actually the system more used and more reliable in the evaluation for external irradiation of an individual exposed to the radiation
