Description
This article presents a project developed by Akuo, an independent French producer of renewable energy which wants to demonstrate the benefits associated with the development of renewable energy production sites within territories, notably through the valorisation of ancient mining or industrial sites. The project concerns the installation of a floating photovoltaic plant within an alluvial exploitation. The article presents the technology of Hydrelio floats, the partnership approach, the steps of construction of photovoltaic plant, the development planning and the dialogue phase, how biodiversity is taken into account, the integration of the project into the territory, and how the dismantling and recycling aspects are addressed. Other examples of valorisation of ancient industrial sites are evoked, and French national objectives of photovoltaic production are recalled and indicated. Maps of France indicate the great number of identified potential sites
