Investigation of condensed nitrogen by muon method
Description
The temperature dependence of muonic spin relaxation in the liquid and crystalline nitrogen was studied. It was determined that in the condensed nitrogen there takes place the fast depolarization of muons for times not observed in experiment. The anomalous behaviour of the muonic precession amplitude and phase nearby the orientation phase transition in the solid nitrogen was found. The model of muon chemical reaction was suggested to explain the observed phenomena. 16 refs.; 4 figs
