Description
Alpha spectrometry was applied to identify unstable isotopes in nodular type uraniferous mineral of Campo do Cercado, Pocos de Caldas Plateau (Minas Gerais State). All high intensity alpha emitter radioactive elements of uranium-238 series and some elements of the uranium-235 series were detected directly of the uraniferous mineral samples. The ionization chamber which was built is promising to be for evaluating the state of radioactive equilibrium in uranium ores. (author). 6 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab
