Comparison of instrumental methods used in the determination of uranium, plutonium, and americium
Description
This paper describes the use of Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES) and Mass Spectrometry-Isotopic Dilution (MSID) for the quantitative determination of plutonium and uranium in different types of samples. 2π - alpha counting and high resolution gamma spectrometry for the analysis of americium and plutonium in scrap, residues, and process samples is also described. Comparison of the data obtained by these methods was presented and evaluated. 11 tabs
