Radioactivity contamination data evaluated from the standpoint of sampling method

  • 1. Association To Help Chernobyl, Chubu-District, Japan, Nagoya, Aichi (Japan)

Description

Various measurements of the radiation level and the radioactivity are reported in the media and meetings in relation to Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. These data may be useful for radiation protection if they have been precisely measured by proper methods. These published results, however, sometimes lack necessary information for utilization in radiation protection, and the filling the information by imagination may lead inadequate acts. Authors described the matters to be attended to the presentation and the utilization of the data on soil, water and foods, from the viewpoint of sampling method. (author)
