Description

The authors have compiled activation materials for the activation to short-living gamma emitters with sufficient line intensity and relatively simple gamma spectra. Short measuring cycles of several tens of seconds with immediate evaluation following the extraction should be possible. For testing and optimization of the measuring approach a programmable pneumatic sample changer was built for the neutron laboratory at the TU Dresden. The activation materials to be tested can be delivered as foils for irradiation with DT-neutrons from the neutron generator. Subsequently the induced gamma activity is measured using a germanium detector (HPGe).
