Aerosol and iodine removal from the head-end offgas of a reprocessing facility

Description
The offgases of a reprocessing facility must be cleaned, removing liquid and solid suspended matter, gaseous iodine and ruthenium (in the form of RuO4), and the noble gases and tritium. Suspended particulates which call for radiation protection are those radioisotopes like the actinides Pu, Am, and Cm, and other radioisotopes such as 134Cs, 137Cs, 89Sr, 90Sr and 144Ce
