Thermal conductivity of 3He near the liquid-vapor critical point
Description
A study of the thermal conductivity of 3He is reported along several isotherms and the critical isochore above the critical temperature, and the results are compared with predictions from theory. Furthermore, the relaxation times tau for reaching the steady state after switching the heat flux on and off are reported along the critical isochore, and are compared with calculations using the static results of thermal diffusivity.
