Measurement of neutrons from thick Fe target bombarded by 210 MeV protons

Description

We measured angular and energy distributions of neutrons from an iron target bombarded by 210 MeV protons at angles of 0 deg. , 7.5 deg. , 15 deg. , 30 deg. , 60 deg. , 90 deg. and 110 deg. using the RIKEN Ring Cyclotron. The measured results are compared with the calculations using the MCNPX and NMTC/JAM codes with several physics models. These calculations generally agree with the measurements except at forward angles. We also show the angular distribution and total neutron yield from 0 deg. to 180 deg. , integrated above 5 MeV, to compare with similar experiments in the medium energy region of projectile protons
