An analysis of the solar extreme-ultraviolet spectrum between 50 and 300 A

Description
Photoelectric data on the solar spectrum between 50 and 300 A obtained with a grazingincidence rocket spectrometer flown on 1969 April 4 are given. The spectrometer viewed the entire solar disk. The spectrometer was calibrated photometrically over the complete wavelength range with an estimated accuracy of 125 percent. The intensities of the spectral lines were analyzed in detail to verify previous identifications of solar lines and to suggest new identifications. The method of Pottasch was also applied to determine the relative abundances of the elements 0, Ne, Mg, Si, S, Fe, and Ni present in the Sun.
