Aspects of the lepton generation puzzle

Creators

Description

This chapter discusses 2 aspects of the lepton generation problem: 1) lepton universality and a new measurement of decay; 2) muon number violation and the search for muon-electron conversion; and 3) lepton number conservation and double-beta decay. Examines the search for heavy neutrinos participating in the decay and theories with muon number violation. Presents graphs showing the timing spectra; decay positron energy spectrum during the early time bin (6-31 nsec) and the late time bin (173-198 nsec); limits on muon number violating processes for the extended lepton model; and widths of the cathode charge distributions vs. drift lengths and angle of track crossing the TPC anode wires
