Description
Among corrosion - resistant steels worthy of notice are diphase ferritic - austenitic steels of duplex type whose strength and resistance of stress corrosion and cavitation wear are higher as compared to normal austenitic steels. The disadvantage of duplex steels is their tendency to become brittle after heating up in temperature range 300 - 500 oC and 600 - 900 oC. A difficult technological problem relating to vacuous soldering of elements of duplex steel machine parts with Au18Ni alloy being used, has been presented in the paper. (author)
