The penetration of microwaves through plasmas

Description
The penetration of microwaves through a plasma slab is considered, and some discussions are given for the validity of the conventional formulae for the phase shift. We also give a formula for the microwaves scattered by a plasma cylinder in the Born approximation with some related considerations. (author)
