Calculation of optical conductivity of tungsten

Description
Combined RGF-kα method for calculation of electron states in crystal was suggested and realized. Interband optical conductivity of tungsten in energy range up to 7 eV was calculated in relativistic model with account of matrix elements of dipole transition probabilities. Good agreement with the experiment was obtained. Role of spin orbital splitting in formation of a threshold for direct band-to-band transitions, as well as the origin of absorption structure in low-energy range E<1.3 eV of tungsten are discussed
