Effect of nickel or yttrium partial substitution by other metals on hydrogen absorption by YNi3

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Novykh Khimicheskikh Problem

Description

The YNisub(2.5)Tsub(0.5)-H (where T=Al, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) and Rsub(0.1)Ysub(0.9)Nisub(3)-Hsub(2) (where RCa, Tj, Sc, Y) systems are studied. The hydride phases being formed in them at 5 MPa and room temperature are shown to contain up to 3.5-4.4 hydrogen atoms. The absorption capacity decreases for different T in the Ni approximately Co > Mn approximately Cr >
