Coal and nuclear power will make the main contribution to petroleum substitution. The status of coal beneficiation processes, e.g. gasification and hydrogenation is described as well as the status of fluidized-bed combustion for coal power plants, heating plants, and heating power plants. (HS)

Die Hauptlast der Substitution von Erdoel wird auf Kohle und Kernenergie entfallen. Der Stand der Umwandlungsprozesse von Kohle wie die Vergasung und Hydrierung sowie der Stand der Wirbelschichtfeuerung fuer den Einsatz in Kohle-, Heiz- und Heizkraftwerken werden beschrieben. (HS)
