Description
Radioactivity control of Institute environment is performed according to the regulations about methods, scope and time-limits for measuring the radioactivity levels in the vicinity of nuclear facilities. During 1993 this control included contamination measurements of air, precipitation, fallout and water currents, Danube and Mlaka stream in the Institute. Air contamination control was measured at 4 measuring stations, two in the Institute and two locations in the direction of wind i.e. Belgrade, 2 km and 7 km away from the Institute respectively. This position of the measuring locations enables control of radiation safety of the Institute, as well as environment of Belgrade taking into account the existence of the reactor and other possible contaminants in the Institute. Control of atmospheric precipitations and fallout was done at two points one in the Institute and the other 2 km away from the Institute. Due to lack of personnel, control of Danube river was limited only to one point, 1145 km, and the stream Mlaka flowing through the Institute into river Bolecica was controlled instead of the river itself. During the period from november 1992 - october 1993, the following samples were taken and analyzed: 532 air samples, 497 precipitation samples, and 24 monthly samples of the river water used for measuring the contamination level. Kontrola okoline Instituta 'Vinca' sprovodi se po osnovi pravilnika o nacinu, obimu i rokovima ispitivanja kontaminacije radioaktivnim materijama u okolini nuklearnih objekata. Tokom 1993. godine kontrolom je obuhvaceno merenje vazduha, padavina i vodotokova Dunava i potoka Mlaka (u Institutu). Kontrola vazduha vrsena je na 4 merna mesta, od kojih se dva nalaze u krugu Instituta ('baraka' i 'stub'), a dva se nalaze na pravcu predominantnog vetra u odnosu na Beograd: 'usek' i 'zeleno brdo', na 2 odnosno 7 km od Instituta. Ova mreza mernih stanica omogucava uvid u radijacionu bezbednost kako kruga Instituta tako i sire okoline i Beograda, u odnosu na postojanje nuklearnog reaktora i drugih potencijalnih izvora kontaminacije u Institutu. Kontrola padavina i slobodno natalozene prasine vrsi se u krugu Instituta merna stanica 'baraka' i na stanici 'usek'. Usled nedostatka dovoljnog broja tehnickog osoblja, kontrola Dunava ogranicena je samo na 1145 km, a umesto reke Bolecice kontrolise se i potok Mlaka u Institutu koji se u nju uliva. U periodu novembar 1992 - oktobar 1993. uzeto je ukupno 532 uzoraka vazduha, 497 uzoraka padavina i 24 zbirna mesecna uzorka recne vode preko kojih se odredjuje nivo kontaminacije uzoraka.
