Design of the ITER fusion reactor close to its end

Description
ITER Engineering Design Activities (EDA) is close to its end in July 1998 and the final design is almost completed. Before possible construction, site specific design, licensing and further testing of large prototype components are still needed. This would take about three years and ITER partners are preparing to post-EDA phase to complete these activities. (author)
