Description

The motion of a fluid in a pipe is commonly modeled utilizing the one space dimension conservation laws of mass and momentum. The development of shocks and spikes utilizing the uniform sampling method is studied. The effects of temperature variations and friction are compared for gas pipes. (Author)

O movimento de um fluido numa tubulacao e comumente modelado usando-se as equacoes da continuidade e do movimento em uma dimensao. Estuda-se aqui a formacao e propagacao de choque usando-se o metodo da escolha aleatoria. O efeito de variacoes de temperatura e a de diferentes mecanismos de separacao sao comparados para o caso de tubulacoes com gases. (Autor)
