Correlations between mechanical charasteristics in structural steels and alloys under static and cyclic loadings
Description
Based on an analysis of experimental data, it is shown that the fatigue limit in symmetric bending and the diagram of the deformation of the material at stresses in the proportionality limit range correlate fairly closely. These relationships provide, account taken of certain limitations, more accurate evaluation of the fatigue properties of materials (Cr-Ni steels and Ni alloys) from tensile test data than was assumed previously
