Fast α production by projectile break-up in 16O+160Gd collision at Esub(16O)=150 MeV

Description
Experiments have been performed with a 150 MeV 16O beam to investigate α production by the reaction 16O + 160Gd → 12C + α + 160Gd. The q value spectrum of the reaction is presented and the total cross section discussed. (C.F.)
