Evidence for magnetic correlations in superconducting skutterudites

Description

We have estimated certain important parameters like upper critical field, coherence length, and doubly filled superconducting gap for partially filled Pr0.9Pt4Gr12 and doubly filled Pr0.9Nd0.1Pt4Ge12 skutterudites from the resistivity and heat capacity measurements down to 2K in presence of magnetic field. Even though the resistivity behavior is almost similar, heat capacity is markedly different at low temperatures and high fields in the case of partial Nd substitution, suggesting the presence of magnetic correlations.
