A study of the static moments of odd-odd deformed nuclei
Description
The ground state static moments of odd-odd deformed nuclei, having natural parity protons in 2p tilde-1f tilde pseudo oscillator shell and natural parity neutrons in 3s tilde-2d tilde-1g tilde pseudo oscillator shell, are calculated in SU(3) weak coupling and SU(3) strong coupling models. The results of the static moments show that the SU(3) weak coupling model furnishes a good approximation for the ground state properties of deformed odd-odd nuclei, except for Eu and Tm isotopes for which it is found that the SU(3) strong coupling model is better.
