Thermal model of pyrotechnical device for destruction of details completed space apparatus in dense atmosphere layers

Description

A three-dimensional non-stationary thermal model of a pyrotechnic device has been developed for the destruction of parts from spacecraft made of refractory materials at the stage of their uncontrolled fall in dense layers of the atmosphere. The model allows to calculate the response time of the pyrotechnic device and estimate the degree of its impact on the material, depending on the geometry of the device and the conditions of thermal loading. Comparison of simulation results with laboratory experiments confirmed the correctness of the developed model

Abstract (Russian)

Разработана трехмерная нестационарная тепловая модель пиротехнического устройства для разрушения деталей отработавших космических аппаратов из тугоплавких материалов на стадии их неконтролируемого падения в плотных слоях атмосферы. Модель позволяет рассчитать момент срабатывания пиротехнического устройства и оценить степень его воздействия на целевой материал в зависимости от геометрии устройства и условий теплового нагружения. Сопоставление результатов моделирования с лабораторными экспериментами подтвердило корректность разработанной модели
