Description
High resolution 136Ba(n,γ) measurements were carried out at GELINA and the capture areas of 184 resonances in the range 0.4-60 keV were derived. From these values the Maxwellian-averaged neutron capture cross section was calculated vs temperature kT from 5 to 50 keV. The results for this unbranched s-only isotope are discussed in the light of the recent models of s-process nucleosynthesis. (orig.)
