Description
Sodium- and calcium trivanadates were prepared. The compounds were investigated by infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. It is shown, that the ability to form trivanadate structure depends on the size of a cation radius. Cations with large K+ for example radii, form stable structure; cations of average size (Na+, Ca2+) enter into the compound in hydrated form; cations with small radii are not capable of forming trivanadate structure
