Effect of a laser field in the electron inelastic scattering into plasma fields
Description
A theory for calculating cross section of the electron ineslatic scattering process by an atom immersed in plasma and submitted to intense laser field was developed. The electrostatic shielding of plasma was considered in electron-electron interaction bound as in the electron-nucleus interaction. The formalism was applied for the study of 1s-2s and 1s-2p transitions in the hydrogen atom. The effect of shielding is to diminish the cross sections, and the effect of laser field is to promote the scattering for energies below of the threshold of each transition. In the presence of laser the cross sections present characteristic oscillations of multiphoton process. (M.C.K.)

Foi desenvolvida uma teoria para o calculo da secao de choque do processo de espalhamento inelastico de um eletron por um atomo imerso em um plasma e sob influencia de um campo de laser intenso. A blindagem eletrostatica do plasma foi considerada tanto na interacao eletron-eletron ligado como na interacao eletron-nucleo. O formalismo foi aplicado para o estudo das transicoes 1s-2s e 1s-2p num atomo de hidrogenio. Mostra-se que o efeito da blindagem e diminuir as secoes de choque, e o efeito do campo de laser e permitir que haja espalhamento para energias abaixo do limiar de cada transicao. Alem disso, na presenca do laser as secoes de choque apresentam ondulacoes caracteristicas de processo de multifotons. (autor)Files
