Description

Track detectors used in experimental studies of heavy ion radioactivity are briefly reviewed with particular emphasis on a recently developed phosphate glass, BP1. In addition we report on a new measurement of the 232U - - > 24Ne + 208Pb decay rate, which allows an update of previous results for Ne emission from 234U and 235U to be carried out. (author)
