A Monte Carlo model for light scattering by dark nebulae

It appears that the measurement of the surface brightness distributions of dense, dark nebulae, together with the modelling of light scattering within the clouds, provides a valuable method of studying the dust density distribution and grain scattering properties of these nebulae
