To which degree the technical documentation is usable for construction of the small HPP's - some examples

Three are many reasons why small hydroelectric power plants (SHPP) in Macedonia have not been built. In recent times this problematic is actualizing. It is said that for seventy SHPP in our country, technical documentation exists. Generally, is not widely known at which level it is prepared, when it was prepared and whether it was revised. Our experience in reviewing concrete technical documentation for SHPP leads us to conclude that this existing technical documentation list be carefully taken under consideration, particularly since this same documentation must be used as a basis for preparing higher level documentation and/or as documentation on which to base decisions about the investment and building of the SHPP. As evidence of this thinking, we give a few examples of technical documentation, which is permeated by indeterminacy, basic mistakes and incorrect observations. (Author)
