Description
A ΔE-E telescope which can detect and identify the low energy particles in unusual nuclei delay decay is described. The telescope consists of ionization chamber (ΔE) and Si(Au) surface barrier detector. Because of low energy α particle and protons are usually produced in unusual nuclei delay decay, so detection of these particles become necessary for research of new nuclear decay mechanism and discovery of new nuclei. This telescope has been used in P + 20Ne reaction and has identified a 0.695 MeV α particle
