Information about the statutory activity in the year 2005

This report presents an information about the statutory activity of the Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection (CLOR) in the year 2005. Activeness of the CLOR concentrates both on the scientific studies as well as on operative and preventive activities. The aim of all these activities is to assure radiological safety of the Polish people and environment. Majority of these actions (e.g. works in the fields of radiobiology, radioecology or monitoring of radiological contamination of the environment) are many years' projects. Scientific and development works make about 30% of total activity of CLOR. Scientific fields of the major interest of CLOR are: radiobiology; radioecology; domestic service - national radiation safety and radiological monitoring; radioprotection of the individual people and professionally exposed to ionization radiation groups of peoples; training, normalization and information; domestic and international collaboration. CLOR collaborates with numerous domestic and foreign institutions, international organizations, national organs and services, private companies.
