Model studies on transfer conditions in a zero power reactor

Description
An equation derived from the time-dependent multi-group diffusion equation can be used for determining the space-dependent transfer function or the influence of a periodic oscillation of an absorber on the neutron population in a reactor. It can be solved with the aid of only slightly modified stationary programs. Approximations resulting in the required form of the equation are given. In this way various effects can be studied, such as the influence of the number of groups, of boundaries, or of the accuracy of the one-point model. For a one-dimensional model different results are discussed for special examples. (author)
