QED in strong coupling: Some recent results
Description
New results related with QED in strong coupling and its possible nontrivial fixed point are presented. In particular we obtain the phase diagram of QED in 4 dimensions in the plane (β, Nf): at β = 0 and Nf = 30 we found a chiral transition of first order while for small Nf the transition is continuous. QED3 is also discussed: we specially analyze the existence of a critical Nf below which chiral symmetry is broken. Finally, results for QED4 with Nf = 2 are presented showing the difficulties in extracting the asymptotic scaling behavior of the theory. (orig.)
