A design of handheld gamma spectrometer with low power consumption
- 1. College of Applied Nuclear Technology and Automation Engineering, Chengdu Univ. of Technology, Chengdu (China)
Description
This paper introduces the design of a handheld gamma spectrometer which is based on C8051F023. It's different from other dose-rate instrument that it can do γ energy spectra analysis. A good power management unit makes it works with low power consumption. The method of combining hardware with software further improves the spectrum-stabilizing and linearity. So it's a convenient instrument that can be applied to field measurement. (authors)
