Description
Electron temperature profiles have been measured under a wide range of discharge conditions in TFTR. The second harmonic of the electron cyclotron emission spectrum, recorded with a fast-scanning Michelson interferometer, was used to determine the temperature. Normalized profiles are presented: i.e. plotting T(r)/T(0) vs. r/a where T(0) is the electron temperature at r = 0 and a is the limiter radius. This facilitates shape comparisons. At low limiter q the shape is trapezoidal, and at higher limiter q the profile is centrally peaked and falls exponentially in the range 0.1 < r/a < 0.6. (author)
