Description

There have been a number of preparations that purport to specifically label proteins by their treatment with /sup 99m/TcO/sub 4//sup -/ and reducing agent. In an attempt to assess the nature of bound technetium in such species the authors use the Resonance Raman spectroscopy to identify the technetium to ligand modes. Most technetium complexes have sizable absorption in the visible region. Excitation of dilute ca. 10/sup -3/-10/sup -5/M solutions of characterized technetium complexes with an argon-ion laser enables the technetium to ligand modes to be identified
