Description
The results of the investigation are reported of the various constituent components of the 16O-16O exchange potential obtained by the resonating group method. The decomposition of the exchange potential is done in three ways; the decomposition by the number of nucleons exchanged between two 16O nuclei, that into the kinetic and interaction exchange potentials and that by the four types of RGM kernels. An especially important finding is that the 16O-16O exchange potential is not simply exhausted by the one-nucleon-exchange potential except the far outside region but the contribution from the two-nucleon-exchange process has also a non-negligible magnitude. This is a marked contrast to the light-ion potential whose exchange potential is almost exhausted by the one-nucleon-exchange potential. (author)
