Effect of sintering temperature on the microstructure and optical properties of Mn: CaF2 transparent ceramics

Highlights: • Mn: CaF2 ceramics were fabricated by hot pressing method. • The sintering temperature affected densification and microstructure. • Mn: CaF2 ceramic sintered at 900 °C showed excellent optical properties.
