Nonclassical translational motion of cooled atoms

Description
The general methods to generate the non-classical translational motion of cooled atoms are reviewed. Raman side-band interaction of two light-fields, one is quantum field and the other is a classical one, with the cooled atom will cause an interchange of the quantum properties between the light field and the translational motion of atom.
