Description
The quark → hadron phase transition in QCD matter can take place through a surface of discontinuity, in which matter in the quark phase flows into the surface and matter in the hadron phase out of it. The two types of these combustion processes are deflagrations and detonations. An interesting special case is one in which the velocities in and out both vanish and no entropy is produced. The interface then separates hadron matter from quark matter, both at the same temperature Tc and same pressure pc but at different energy and entropy densities. This paper shows that the properties of this interface can be determined by lattice Monte Carlo computations
