Description
Hepatomegaly, cutaneous hemangioma and cardiac failure in newborns and infants are symptoms and signs of the rare hemangiomatosis of the liver. In an infant with increasing hepatomegaly, a cutaneous frontal hemangioma, the ultrasonic findings in its liver led to the diagnosis finally proven by a CT-examination with contrast medium. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Hepatomegalie, Haemangiome der Haut und Herzinsuffizienz bei Neugeborenen und Saeuglingen sind die Hauptsymptome der seltenen Haemangiomatose der Leber. Wir berichten ueber einen Saeugling, der wegen zunehmender Lebervergroesserung auffiel. Der Befund der Ultraschalluntersuchung des Abdomens und ein Haemangiom im Bereich der Stirn ergaben den Verdacht auf das Vorliegen dieser Lebererkrankung. Die Diagnose konnte durch eine computertomographische Darstellung mit Kontrastmittelinjektion bewiesen werden. (orig.)Additional details
