Description
Experience is summed up from the use of thermal analysis in assessing the bituminization process. Using model bitumen products, the effects were studied of nitrates, of changing concentrations of alkali metal citrates and oxalates and of pH, on the thermal properties of the bitumen products. Thermal properties were also evaluated for model mixtures of salts, and for salts recuperated from bitumen products. (author). 5 figs., 3 tabs., 8 refs
