Model of inelastic collisions of light nuclei

Description

A dynamical model is proposed for the inelastic collisions of light nuclei with mass numbers A< or =16. The model is based on a numerical solution of the classical many-body problem with an energy-dependent nucleon--nucleon potential. The model reveals the time evolution of the entire nuclear collision process, including the decay of excited reaction products. This model can be used to calculate the mass spectrum, angular distributions, and energy spectra of the products of inelastic collisions of nucleons or nuclei with nuclei at incident energies up to 400 MeV/nucleon
