Transport mechanism for spherical particles for high temperature reactor fuel studies

  • 1. Oesterreichische Studiengesellschaft fuer Atomenergie G.m.b.H., Seibersdorf. Elektronikinstitut

Description

A system for rapid measurement of the diameter distribution of the spherical fuel particles used in gas-cooled high-temperature reactors has been described previously. (W. Attwenger and F. Buschbeck, CAMAC Bulletin 12, April, 1975; K. Wallisch and P. Koss, SGAE Report No. 2342, Oct 1974). The present paper describes the electrostatic transport system for feeding the spherical nuclear fuel particles to the measuring apparatus whose diameter is within the range 0.1-1.5 mm. (S.R.)
