The JET fast transfer diagnostic system
- 1. UKAEA Culham Lab., Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Description
The Fast Transfer Diagnostic is a system which carries four probes from the JET diagnostic hall to the Torus vessel and expose them to the plasma discharge. These probes measure the thermal flux, impurities and electromagnetic properties of the plasma boundary layer and will be transported on a 3.7 metre long train inside a 26 metre long by 150 mm diameter ultra high vacuum stainless steel tube. The whole process is operated under the remote control of the JET Control and Data Acquisition System
