Description

After a compilation of the optimization methods in irradiation planning the characteristics of an irradiation procedure using ultrahard bremsstrahlung are described. Following the input of the number of fields and angles of radiation axes, the first step of optimization comprises the determination of the field widths and the position of the radiation axes, whereas the second optimization step includes the weight factors. Since 1978 this method has proved in the planning of therapy with a 28 MeV betatron
